Parent Prep (“the app”, “we”) is a planning app for expecting and new parents. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

The short version

• Your personal data stays on your device. Everything you enter — journey details, budget, checklists, appointments, medicines, vaccinations, and documents in the Family Vault — is stored locally on your phone. We do not have a server, we do not have an account system, and we never collect or receive this information.
• We show ads through Google AdMob, which does collect some device data to serve and measure ads (details below).
• You can remove all of your on-device data at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

Data you enter (stored only on your device)

The app stores the information you add — including pregnancy/cycle dates, baby and family details, expenses and budgets, checklists, appointments and their notes, medicines and doses, vaccination records, and any files you save to the Family Vault — in a private database and file storage on your device. This data is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the app. If you use the app’s export or share features, you choose where that exported file goes.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. To serve, personalize, limit, and measure ads and to detect fraud, Google’s advertising SDK may collect and process:

• Device and other identifiers (including the Advertising ID)
• IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it
• App and ad interaction data and diagnostics

This information is processed by Google as an independent controller under its own policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. In the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, we present a consent choice before personalized ads are shown.

Firebase

We use Firebase Remote Config to configure the app (for example, to turn ad placements on or off). It does not collect the personal information you enter into the app.

Children

Parent Prep is intended for adults (expecting and new parents) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices

• Delete your data: clear the app’s storage in your device settings, or uninstall the app, to remove all local data.
• Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalization, in your device’s Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
• Consent: where a consent prompt is shown, you can change your choice at any time from within the app’s privacy options.

Data security

On-device data is protected by your device’s security. Data sent to Google for advertising is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
